Discovery House welcomes new senior manager of grants and program evaluations

Discovery House is pleased to announce that Esther Elder will be joining Discovery House on June 24 as our new Senior Manager, Grants and Program Evaluations, reporting to CEO Monique Auffrey. In this position, Esther will be responsible for tracking proposals for grants and funding opportunities, data collection, evaluation of outcomes/impact, development and implementation of evaluation frameworks, and reporting to funders and other stakeholders. Esther has worked in the non-profit sector for more than 20 years and has a deep understanding of community challenges and opportunities. As a grant maker and program officer, she has managed significant portfolios and has a keen understanding of investor priorities, accountability and impact to demonstrate how programs contribute to the social and economic well-being of society. Esther has worked closely with first- and second-stage shelters and is well-versed with the impact of domestic violence on women and children, and the need to provide evidence-based programs so that survivors can heal. We are excited for Esther to bring her wealth of experience to this new position.
