Join us as we look back at 2017 to celebrate our stories and successes and set the stage for another year. Featured will be our She's So Brave exhibit, intended to inspire conversations about domestic violence and resiliency, first displayed at our inaugural event last November.

She's So Brave - A Photographic Exhibit Honouring the Strength and Resiliency of Women

To celebrate International Women's Day, She's So Brave took over the Park Kitchen and Bar with a powerful photographic installation - raising awareness and funds for women and children in Calgary who are fleeing domestic violence.

A huge thank you to Tenille who once again filled an evening with song for the benefit of Discovery House. Hillhurst United Church was the venue, the music was beautiful and the Spirit of giving was in the air. We were honoured to be part of another beautiful evening of music and philanthropy.

She's So Brave

On Nov. 28, Discovery House welcomed more than 200 people to She's So Brave at the Glenbow Museum. This photographic exhibition honoured the strength and resiliency of women. It was a powerful evening of awareness raising and fund raising. View the gallery

Opening Doors 2017

An Evening with Tenille, 2016

On Dec. 21, six Calgary based Keg Restaurants and the U13 Blizzard Girls Soccer team held a concert at the Cardel Theatre in Quarry Park with Grand Prairie native, Tenille performing holiday classics and her own songs. This event raised more than $5,800 for Discovery House.

Opening Doors 2016

We hosted our first annual Opening Doors event at Sky Gardens at the Bow. The event featured speakers such as Discovery House Executive Director, Monique Auffrey, Calgary Police Chief Chaffin, City of Calgary Depu Mayor, Jim Stevenson and Chair of Discovery House Board of Directors, Barbara Potter.
